Two friends and I set out to record a song for the heck of it. I wrote the lyrics and sang it; we three wrote the music on the fly. It was a joke of a thing: part Michael Jackson, a hint of U2 and almost all Prince. It's about this girl I met while working at MTV. We recorded it years ago but somehow it ended up on an album. Saddly, it sounds better than most of the songs on the radio. And the ending?--Unexpected genius. Thanks, to whoever called on cue.
