ATLANTA, GA -- (eMediaCampaigns!)- AUG 30, 2009 -- Bestselling author, Dapharoah69 ("The King of Erotica") will read from, and sign his books at the Black LGBT Pride in Atlanta.   The event takes place Labor Day weekend – Wednesday, September 2 through Monday, September 7, 2009.  Dapharoah69 will appear with his agency, Meak Productions, at the Grand Atlanta Hyatt in Buckhead at 3300 Peachtree Street NE on September 4 at 11:59 PM.  He will perform his poetry on stage at SpeakFire.  Atlanta hosts the world's largest African American LGBT Pride Celebrations. BET will also be on hand to film parts of the gathering.

 

Dapharoah69 co-authored and co-edited an anthology called Voices From Within which was released on World AIDS Day in 2000. The book was selected for Body Positive Magazine's Book of the Month Club in 2001.  In 2008, he released his freshman book entitled, The King of Erotica: The Throne  ( Dapharoah69, TKOE Publications).  The publication is an intense collection of erotic short stories with a message for the reader.  Later he would release The King of Erotica: the Throne's Special Edition and The King of Erotica 2: The Crown.  The author's books were recently featured in the late E. Lynn Harris' Literary Cafe Memorial Day weekend, 2009.  

 

Organizers of Black Pride stated that the event is open to anyone who wants to celebrate diversity, love, and life.  They promise six days of entertaining, cultural, and educational events for guests visiting from all across the globe.  The following is the schedule of events for Black Pride for 2009.
