I've been reading www.pubmed.gov for years now. At times, it is as though I've a second home there.

In July, 2008 Drexel Univ. Medical School reported that Iodine/Iodide worked to stop the progress of breast cancer. 

Why isn't any one telling us about this?  I only found the report because I know where to look and had done much study on the topic.

Our tax dollars are being spent by research geniuses in every state of the union.  After the first year or two, PhD's at major universities, can only remain on staff,  if their salary is funded by research grants. Much of those are government research grants. If the NIH, National Institutes of Health is an award grantor to a project, the final report/paper must be published online on pubmed.gov.

Take Note Folks! Whether our annual federal income taxes range from  $5,000 to $25,000; much of it is going for research.  Each working American is an investor in this research.    

As such, we should somehow receive a report of the results. Investment regulations require public companies to generate an annual report. That report discusses the financial status of the individual company. It also must include updates on the progress the organization is making in its particular, market segment. Every investor then can go to the company to obtain a report copy or to their library to read the report. Whether our investment is $50 or $50,000; it is made available to all. 

So far we can only obtain the medical, scientific or technical results of our investment in gov't sponsored research on websites like www.pubmed.gov. 

We need to revise the current procedures for the reporting of significant science and health information.  People are dying who shouldn't be.  

Our health is at stake..Also our country's financial treasure is being wasted on things costing $750 when a simple $7 bottle of potassium iodide might solve the whole problem.. Caveat emptor in healthcare too?? Yes so it seems..To better health in the US!!!
