Area Toastmaster Competition

Toastmasters International is a world-wide non-profit organization dedicated to improving communication and leadership skill with over 84 years of history. Each year contests are held nationally and around the world in order to highlight the best of the best. The various compettions are International, Evaluation, Table Topics and Humorous.

Area Toastmaster Competion

Mark Johnson a member of the Foliage Toastmasters Club in Apopka, Florida advanced to the Divison level International Toastmasters competition. Mark competed at the club level, placing second in the competition. The First and second place winner both advanced to the Area level contest.

During the Area contest Mark upstaged the other contestants and won 1st Place in the Area Contest. He now advances to the Division contest, April 18, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Rollins University ( Bush Auditorium) in Winter Park, Florida.

If he wins he will advance to the District, Regional and International level. The winner of the International contestis corwned the World Champion of Public Speaking.
