Author Donates Royalties to The Myelin Project

Film critic Betty Jo Tucker announced she will be donating her author royalties for SUSAN SARANDON: A TRUE MAVERICK to The Myelin Project.

While researching her new book, Tucker became aware of the important work being done by The Myelin Project, a research group featured in "Lorenzo's Oil." In this powerful film, Sarandon and Nick Nolte portrayed Michaela and Augusto Odone, parents who refused to give up when doctors said there was no hope for their son. The Odones co-founded The Myelin Project to help find a cure for diseases like the one their son Lorenzo suffers from. Sarandon now serves as spokesperson for this worthy international project.
