With her suggestion that Jack Nicholson and Debbie Reynolds should play Harry and Elizabeth Lawrence if their romantic memoir is ever made into a movie, Massachusetts resident Diana Tidlund recently won the "It Had To Be Us" Casting Call contest.
Why Nicholson and Reynolds? "Because they are who Harry and Elizabeth remind me of every time I see their picture, " Tidlund wrote. "And I really think it would have to be a comedy, so need I say more? Also, both actors can play an age span of say 15-20 years and that would be good, too."
For the intriguing suggestion Tidlund sent to Harry and Elizabeth via The Romance Club, she received autographed copies of "It Had To Be Us" (Sands Publishing Company LLC.) and "Confessions of a Movie Addict" (Hats Off Books), an amusing life-at-the-movies memoir by Betty Jo Tucker.
