I regret to announce that Behler Publications has returned my rights to Moonspell, and has rescinded my contract to publish that book. This has, sadly, placed the current status of my Moonsword Trilogy in peril. I am very sorry that those of you who have been enjoying my little tale of Tolain and her friends will have to wait indefinitely for the trilogy to be published in its entirety. I will certainly keep trying to find a new home for the Moonsword Trilogy, and will update you on any movement on that front.
I worked hard promoting Empress of Clouds for Behler, achieving the only awards presence or national tv promotion for the company. Their decsion to return my rights still puzzles, and , frankly, hurts me. I was about a third of the way done writing the last book of the trilogy. I will probably have to wait to get my rights back for Empress from Behler (in a few years) before I have any sort of chance of selling the trilogy to another publisher. I don't know what will happen. I just recieved the bad news from Behler a few days ago.
My thinking is to put the whole mess aside for a while and work on a fresh project that is not tied to the trilogy. I have some exciting ideas that I think will appeal to you, my fans.
I really am sorry for this disappointing news. Trust me, no one is more upset about this than I am. Hopefully, in time, this will all turn out to be the best thing that could happen.
