Biography
just a well wish

It is new year's eve as I write this and it is less than one hour to go before the new year is here.

So much has happened in the past year, many good things and some bad. As this year winds up and prepares to disappear I must take a moment to bid her goodbye. She was one of the strangest years of all to me...for the first time in my life I actually felt old...don't get me wrong,I don't mean old in a bad way...but I saw the signs and for the first time I am calling myself a senior citizen and am even feeling proud to be one. My main mode of transport is still two good legs that work well and can walk for miles without tiring and and time itself has taught me so much...mainly that it's okay to be me. I meet a couple of angels this year...yes,angels are real even when they are human. To Brett and Heather the strangers (angels) who helped my mum when she passed out in the street...thank you so much....you are angels for sure! Truly there are some amazing human beings out there who go out of their way to help others. I watched the world go a little nuts this year, saw it all on TV...CHILDREN getting shot and killed....madness. just total madness. I feel so bad for their families it broke my heart. I wonder why mankind must have guns...I honestly think that without them the world would be so much safer. My Australian Prime Minister tripped over wearing high heels...that was sure weird,it made the news of course...why do women still wear high heels? Otherwise she is a pretty smart woman and ahead of her time. Did I vote for her...no. The Queen of England came up pretty good in my eyes...60 years on the throne...wow...and has anyone ever heard her swear once? I think not, that has got to be some record! I spent my grandson's first birthday with him...both grandsons in fact ...they both turned one...that too was amazing they are so adorable. All my kids did their usual thing, inspired their mum to think a little more and speak a little less (nag a little less that is) My youngest baby turned 21 years old...yes,I guess that was why I suddenly felt older...still right now I am with my friend and we are about to go out on the balcony and watch the fireworks and toast to the new year...oh,also,surprise surprise the world did not end in December...I could have told them all it wouldn't...big sigh of relief...anyway dear friends and family and strangers too...I wish you a better new year than you have ever had before and I know I will be doing my best to make mine productive. Perhaps I will finally get my poetry book done...perhaps not.

Hugs to all and be safe and well and kind to strangers if you please.

Love always from Kay.xo

The Ravyn: Riding the Cyclone by Jennifer Sloan by Erin Kelly-Moen

This book has been eight years in the making. It is mostly a jumble of thoughts written down in old spiral notebooks and hidden in the bottom drawer underneath various manuals for software packages and hardware long since turned obsolete.
