"The Request" , a two-character play, won third place in the One Act or Shorter Original Play category of the Arkansas Writers Conference in Little Rock, AR on June 6, 2009.
The AWC is sponsored by the Arkansas Pioneer Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. The League's members are professional female artist, writers, and musicians with headquarters in Washington, D.C. Pat has been a member since fall of 2000.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
