Left Phoenix last Wednesday and the flight was long and tiresome, then changed planes in Charleston, NC and arrived in Nashville TN close to midnite.  It was hot in AZ and chilly when I got to TN...wardrobe will be an issue, but I'll improvise. :-) 

Have a booksigning in Knoxville on Saturday, and a speaking engagement on Sunday in Knoxville, then plan to go on to N. Carolina for an interview to plan for another book in the near future.  This book however, will be a change of pace for me...it will be a true crime that took place about 40 years ago... I will be writing it "based on" and will be changing it to fiction in order to prevent legal issues later.  This project will be challenging to say the least, but I'm up for it. 

Mid-November I'll be stopping in Gatlinburg, TN for another booksigning, and also in Pigeon Forge, home of Dollywood.  Later, it will be Memphis, and Chattanooga.  Hopefully, things will go smoothly...and then it will be time to return to warm weather again in Phoenix, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Most of you know I'm not that great in the kitchen; however...I am going to try to do something special for dinner this year, just so I can say I did it!  Another interesting tidbit... I haven't had a Christmas tree in several years, moving and visiting others, etc...but I plan to have one this year...and I am really looking forward to it.  Nothing elaborate...but...there are so many things to be thankful for, that I want to end out the year with the promise of better tomorrows!
