The first Brain Surgery lasted only 2 1/2 years & the problem came back so I had to have a second surgery to stop the pain.
My husband, Fred & I took our pick up & camper to Salt Lake City, Utah for my surgery on Sept. 11, 2007. He stayed in our camper while I was in the hospital. Dr. Apphlebaum (sp) who performed the surgery shaved my head where the other incision was but left the top of my hair alone. He went into my skull & clipped the trigeminal nerves to my face so now the right side of my face is numb. You can't tell by looking at me that it's numb. I had to learn how to eat & talk. I haven't bitten my face yet in 2 years. Hopefully this time will be the last time that I'll have to have that kind of surgery.
