Sara lived and worked in Bendigo, Victoria for many years before her move to Tasmania. I had the great privilege of working with her as a tutor in Medieval History between 1994 and 1999 - the period she was also forging her career as a world class writer. Later she kindly did presentations and talks to students studying fiction at Bendigo Tafe - she was always encouraging and generous to these students, and incredibly humble despite all her success. She is very much missed in Central Victoria by those she taught/mentored, worked with and/or reached as an author.

I want to publicly thank and congratulate Karen Brooks and Gina Brett for their dedication and hard work in getting the new site up and running and for presenting Sara's work to posterity as she would have wished it to be presented.
