A First Glimpse of November 2016
Karma sometimes speaks to us in wondrous ways. Come November may those cosmic scales sing out with a resounding voice as Tea Party and other far right practitioners fall like dominoes in the halls of Congress. How refreshing would it be for a clean sweep that cleaned out enough of them so that we might all be rewarded with three branches of government that reflected the will of the people? Imagine a Supreme Court with a majority that respected us all; a White House with a president representing a government of the people, by the people, and for the people; and a legislative branch that worked to accomplish honest legislation for the good of everyone. Presidents from Washington, to Madison, to Jefferson, to Lincoln, to Taft, to Wilson, to Franklin Roosevelt, to Truman, to Eisenhower, to Kennedy, to Johnson, to Reagan, to Clinton, and to Obama would all be vindicated. And we, the people, would finally see a side of justice too long kept in darkness.
It’s still too early to see through that glass, but darkly. Today’s snapshot from the Princeton Consortium shows Hillary winning by a wide margin, but the Senate remaining in the Republican column by a majority of one. The House may be a bridge too far. But a clean sweep could happen if Donald Trump keeps blithering and blathering like a retarded chimpanzee (with apologies to Cheetah and to other notable companions from the jungles).
I will post monthly updates to the Princeton projections right up to the day before the elections. Will I be trying to influence the elections? Only with all the strength that is in me.
