Horror
There is evil going on in the woods of Brighton Cemetery as the souls were on a mission terrifying those who dare to travel down the old road pathway.

 Excerpt:

Visibility was horrible along the dense, dark winding road that night. I was tired and had traveled the distance. I took a quick turn off the main interstate unto a rural route for a quicker ride home, besides, I knew John was probably walking the floors anticipating my arrival. He would always say, “Mary, it's safer traveling during the day versus at night”. 'Oh, why didn't I leave Albuquerque a little earlier? I would surely be home by now!' I glanced over at the old Brighton Cemetery out in the dark gloomy woods as I passed and thought I saw something dash through the darkness around the old aged headstones that sent a sudden chill through my spine. My immediate thought was those old creepy stories, my grandma, Hilga used to tell me about the witches, the ghost and those evil rituals that transpired out in those woods near the old cemetery at night. Frightening thoughts began to surface as I quickly accelerated but my car began to run sluggish, shaky when I glanced to notice the red light indicating that I was out of gas so I coasted over to the curve. I panicked quickly trying to start it again but it just wouldn't turn over. “C'mon please start! I have just a little ways to go! Oh c'mon please, dammit!!” I kept trying but it was hopeless and as I glanced around. I was in the dark out in the middle of nowhere just shy of the old haunted cemetery and I knew just sitting out there in the dark was not an option. I reached into the glove compartment for the flashlight checking it. 'Oh good, it works!' I grabbed my jacket because it was nippy out. I had to take a mile and a half hike down the road until I reach the boulevard and from there I could catch a ride to my home. I turned on the flashlight reaching for my handbag to attempt to get out of the car when I was terrified by a hideous maggot-faced corpse of a man staring in at me! I screamed out mercifully leaning over in the seat, too terrified to take another look when suddenly I heard the loud engine of an oncoming vehicle. Quite relieved, I sat up to notice these bright glaring headlights were headed straight for me as I made an urgent attempt to flag them down when the driver passed me at a considerable rate of speed as if I were invisible. I yelled as loudly as I could but the driver sped down the road like he was on a mission. 'Hey!!! Come back!! Oh please, come back!!' I stood sobbing out in the darkness hoping that the driver would have second thoughts and would return to help me but those red taillights faded into the distant darkness. I glanced staring down the eerie, dismal road ahead thinking, 'I can do this! It's not that far! If I run very fast, I can make it to the boulevard!' Instantly, I could hear something very eerie lurking around in those woods. I could hear strange voices and moans of terror rapidly approaching, immediately I was clothed with fear hurrying to get back into my car quickly locking the doors. I trembled as I sat quietly glancing around to see what was stirring but I couldn't see anything! Quite distressed I began to think, 'Why didn't I follow my first mind and stopped at that last station to get gas before I left that little town 10 miles back! I know John is worried sick about me! Ughh!!! Once again, Mary, you have made very poor judgment!!' I thought promptly reaching into my bag for my cell phone but I wasn't able to get a signal out in the middle of nowhere. 'Shit!!' I quaked tossing the phone in the seat and leaned against the steering wheel and wailed.
