Sometimes it helps to refresh things. Feedback revealed that the previous cover for "A Change of Heart" was not drawing readers. Some expressed that it seemed "cartoonish." 

In seeking to remedy that, the author realized the title might also be less effective. Throughout the book a theme of forgiveness is present, right up to the last page, which led to the change of title. In addition, the new title lent itself to a more personalized cover. A couple joining hands symbolizes the spiritual and emotional nature of forgiveness between people...and between people and God as well.

"Forgiven" contains the same story and same characters. If you like Jan Karon's Mitford, you'll like Dinkel Island. "Forgiven" is Book 1. Book 2, "Return of Bliss," has a slightly tweaked cover image, as does Book 3, "Secrets at Lighthouse Point."
