All writers know what a joy it is to see your book hit #1 on Kindle Unlimited. But to see your book hit number 1 in Paid Books, is another ballgame. I had reached a point in life where I thought tears were a distant memory and being proud of oneself was selfish and all that changed when my book, OpenAI Oakland's Seat at the Table hit number one on Amazon in Real Time. Then, they placed an orange badge atop the title and real feelings came back to my human body. At 71 life's challenges, changes, losses and growth sullied my feelings. I didn't look forward to winning anymore. To me, that was no longer the reason for my writing. After many years of rejection slips and being told I was not good enough, I carved out my own approval system. Do your best, work hard, research, hold to a standard that is better than traditional publishing and that's what got me to August, 2026 when the Musk Vs. Altman Trial book, that nearly died; that nearly didn't make it; because I still was beating myself up about whether I was good enough, hit number 1. This is my last writing effort. i went to that trial to write a win for Elon Musk. I came out with the solid truth and the biggest writing victory, I have ever known in my life. i was challenged. I was stripped from X. I was not sure the book was high tech good enough. WInning proved all of that wrong and I am right here to claim this victory and share it with you.
