Greetings from South Carolina! I’m writing to you during spring break from my mom’s house. Six of the eight cousins have gone to a goat farm, leaving me a chance to write to you. Where has the week gone?

I had a wonderful time visiting with students at two schools and friends at the Newark Library last month! Please check the Events page on my website for special messages for each of these.

The fourth grade classes at Kirkersville Elementary are amazing kids. The majority of them love to read and write, so their questions and enthusiasm were inspiring. I think we could have enjoyed the rest of the afternoon together. They also taught me a new writing rap, which I think of every time I sit down to write now. I can’t wait to share it with other classes! Thank you to Mrs. Frey and Mrs. Lupidi for sharing their students with me.

Thank you to those of you who visited with me at the Newark Library in Newark, Ohio. I had the chance to see familiar faces and meet several new ones. We were able to discuss intimate details of the publishing world. I hope your questions were answered satisfactorily. Thank you to Babette Wofter for the wonderful welcome, organization, and food spread.

Finally, thanks to my new friends at River Valley High School. Career day offers you the chance to check out several different career choices in a safe environment. Some of you are quite gifted with a love of writing. Feel free to drop me a line to keep me posted with your progress or if I can be of assistance. Kudos to Kristi Woodall for allowing me the use of her classroom for the afternoon.

Another visit to the Pataskala area is planned for April or May. Please contact me immediately with possible days, dates, or times if you would like me to stop by.

Writing-wise, I am working on a new series for adults and a child’s picture book for adopted children. I will also be gathering and preparing manuscripts, summaries, and queries for my trip to the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writer’s Conference. I pray that doors may be opened there for future publication of many of these manuscripts. Your prayers for guidance and direction are greatly appreciated.
