Please sign-up for me newsletter. Newsletter Dated: 12/16/2004 12:38:32 PMSubject: TWIRP, The 3 months in one Frigid Season Issue (a.k.a. Don't hate me 'cause I ain't timely. Okay okay! So I missed a couple of newsletters. (Good grits ‘n’ gravy can’t a sistah get a break?!)
Well, now that I’ve pouted to you, may as well confess that I’m one of those blue winter people who need blue plant lights to keep from disappearing mysteriously into snowdrifts looking for Mr. Abominable. However, springtime in Indiana will arrive on schedule as always (the month of JUNE), and I’ll be just hunky-dorey mood wise, as long as I never run out of my Nutrilite® Black Cohosh and Soy.
So for a new year’s wish, thought I’d battle with St. Theresa on one of her little blessings. Now for all of my Catholic readers, lighten up. This is a newsletter, not a right of some religious passage.
And, since God has a since of humor I figured, “Hey, gift from God, don’t let it go to waste!”
(Of course I think my prayer is better than a stone image. I mean I can be cold blooded but not to the point where I’m like granite.
Figured since I'm not Catholic and the synonym in the bible for saint is actually the word "christian" I dub myself, "saint" cynth'ya." (Apostle Paul's letters in the NT call the Christ followers (christians) "saints"). I'll probably be one of the most outrageous members of the church of Christ you will ever know :-)
Since logically, my thinking tells me that baskets-o-blessings will come when God decides to give them to me. So since God woke me up this morning, mentally sane (if you're a writer with an attitude, know any?) I’m pretty covered by the mystery of stuff I’m too human to understand. So here's a big 'ol (((HUG))) as I write my wish instantly to you (no offense to the late Lady T.) Revelations 21:6 I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. So “Big Ups” to MY God. He ain’t ‘bout playin’ no second fiddle.)
So on a mid-tone serious note: May our futures remain in God's hands always –especially with the screw-ups in government and business these days. I present my militant hippie version of the prayer of Sistah T (whose prayer was probably written by a very lonely monk after waking from some really wild dream.)
Prayer of Lady T: May today there be peace within.
Prayer from christian lady c.: Don't stress out. It makes wrinkles and ulcers and MD bills not covered by your deductible (for those who HAVE insurance, no thanks to the insurance grinches and pharm boys.)
Prayer of Lady T: May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
The prayer from christian lady c.: Think positive, regardless. (Remember, it's ain't the GOV, but the GOD. God allowed government into this world, and God can take it out anytime he wants to. So except for believers of the Greenspan IRS Conservative Church--i.e., the U.S. Treasury, which is BROKE) in my opinion there is NO higher power than the Creator that I call God. Besides, God's jealous. Reference: Exodus 20:5 and Exodus 34:14)
Prayer of Lady T: May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
The prayer from christian lady c.: Let us know in our hearts this Divine truth: God IS smarter than George Bush and God does NOT confer with anyone when it comes to world events. (God just does his thang, sometimes it's allowing folks to mess up just so they'll hollar "Oh GOD!")
Prayer of St. Lady T: May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
The prayer from christian lady c.: Sharing is caring when nothing is expected back in return (unless it's itemized home business tax returns).
Prayer of St. Lady T: May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
The prayer from christian lady c.: Chill out! Life tough enough without being a tight wad. Somebody is ALWAYS worse off than we are ourselves. Pray for 'em.
Prayer of St. Lady T: Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you.
The prayer from christian lady c.: If you believe that Jesus loves people, and is the PRINCE OF PEACE, then do what a Prince would do and "PARTY like it's 1999! Just don't hurt yourself or anyone else in the process.
So regardless of which ethnic calendar you go by, I wish each and every one of you a drop-to-your-knees-and-kiss-the-ground-for-your-freedom, a-MAAAAA-zInG New Year.
Much sassy love to all y’all and your loved ones (and you bill collectors are included this time),
cynth’ya
