Well, it's almost Easter and along with that comes the usual Easter Egg hunt held her for the little ones in the family.
My bride and I color eggs to hide or dig out the plastic ones and fill them with candy. Then the old man (me) hides them outdoors for the children to find.
Now in this part of the world, it's a real challenge to find a spot where the snow is less than two feet deep. This year, we had to change the rules some. Each participant gets to use the snowblower for 20 minutes to search out the hidden goodies. The eggs this year are fewer too since the way I figure, there are still nearly 200 that escaped the kids over the last couple years. I hope they are still fresh.
The latest book "River Chase" is now available on the internet and I think it can be ordered already in book stores. I really do like the new cover.
Also, the new web page has generated a few good comments. Some say it improved greatly when I put my photo wayyyy in the back. The pictures on it were taken last fall on the Echo Trail of Northern Minnesota.
The Red Poles have nearly given up on my thistle feeders. I noticed that there were a few Pine Siskens still around too. By last count, I recorded 13 different species this year with the most unusual being the cardinal.
