Hello My Dahlinks!!

How are ya?

Ok, I was so busy during April that you guys did NOT have to put up with reading my annoying social calendar, but I am BACK to let you know what is going on in May 2002 and to W&B (whine & bitch) and beg for your love and support as usual!

First up - Check out my new book cover for "Passing Thoughts"!! You can see the new and improved cover on my site here at AD just click on my book site there. The new cover is FANTASTIC!! "PT" has been doing very well and both books are keeping moi very, very busy!!

I have to give shouts out to two of my most favorite members of ze Country Club who I hooked up with separately, but briefly, this past weekend. SONYA "POOF" RAFF (DOERING) and I got together after not seeing each other since 1975! We had a wonderful time. Sonya looks more beautiful than ever! She is such a success in her own right and says "Hello Dahlinks" to everyone! I also got to see KEITH "ZE COUNT" PAGEL briefly on his run through Florida on his way down to Vero Beach. He also is doing remarkably well considering the unfortunate circumstances of the last week. His ex-wife and our fellow Country Club member, KITSY GRABLE was killed in an auto accident on April 24th. Please keep Kits in your prayers. I will always remember her fondly and with love and hope that the rest of you will also! She leaves behind two children, a boy and girl, both young, young adults.

THURSDAY, MAY 2ND, 16TH AND 30TH - 07:30 PM
It's time to come to Minnie's in Arlington again for Poetry Night. Come and join us in that dimly lit little antique shop with all of the other creative crazies in Jacksonville. We love to pack them in! $3.00 at the door buys you entrance and all the tea and crumpets you can eat!! You will love it!! Come be with your own kind!!

Ladies of Jax - come meet at my house for our Women Writers Meeting planning for our big event at the Southern Women's Show in October. I need your money for deposits and we need to get organized. (More info on this to the rest of you dahlinks later!)

SATURDAY, MAY 4TH - 02:00 - 04:00 PM
Come see moi at ze Neptune Beach Library for the FWA quarterly panel. I will be up front talking to ze crowd with our other featured authors - Bill Goss, Robert Johnson, William Maness, Rick Marino and Bob Stanton. I am the only chick in this line up so come and cheer me on! I'll wear a short skirt if that helps! HA! There will be tea and crumpets to eat at that also!

SUNDAY/MONDAY - MAY 5TH - 6TH
I will be in Palm Beach Florida at "The Breakers". I will be the guest speaker for the FEMA Book Club who picked "Fly" as their book of ze month. This group is from Washington DC and I am so excited to be there! They are also giving an Honorarium to Safe Place for my being there! Gary, Terry, Mark and everyone else in ze book should be thrilled! Our charity Safe Place has been receiving my royalty $$$ and I hope to continue to give more! Thanks for all of your love and support of "Fly" as well! I beg for $$$ for my favorite charities!!

TUESDAY, MAY 14TH and 21 ST - 07:00 PM
I have a NEW Creative Writing Class starting at Barnes and Nobles of Mandarin. We have grown so big that we now need a Sunday and Tuesday class for all of our little peasants to attend! This is so great! So come see moi now every other Tuesday night as well at the Barnes and Nobles of Mandarin. SATURDAY, MAY 25TH 01:00 - 03:00 PM
It's time for our monthly Florida Writers Association Meeting at the Deerwood Library. Hopefully, my speaker for this month will the famous and notorious, Lynn Skapyak-Harlin, veteran teacher, poet, writer and journalist for the Florida Times Union. Bring your little books, take a shower, clean up, spray your most expensive perfume and get ready to beg for some "PR" from her. I do it daily!! She's wonderful, stupendous and you will love her! So don't miss her appearance at our FWA meeting.

There is still more stuff happening, but I know you are probably bored and don't care!

For all of you little "out of towners" I still DESPERATELY need your ratings on bn.com and amazon.com for both "Fly" and "Passing Thoughts", so please, please, please say something nice about them if you can! It looks good for the cause!

LET ME HEAR FROM YOU!! I WANT TO FEEL THE LOVE!! ANYBODY NEEDING A SUMMER ESCAPE - COME ON DOWN!! IT'S ALREADY HOT AS HELL HERE AND ONLY THE FIRST OF MAY!!
