Well, here it is August!! What's new with YOU??
I am so busy, oh my Gawd!! So, I will only bore you for a few brief moments and then onward, onward, yes, onward HO!

I have so many things up and coming, and I am sure that you do too! Thanks to all of those who have taken time out from their busy little schedules to hollar at lil ole me this month! I luv, luv, luv ya!

Tuesday, August 6th and August 20th - 07:00 PM
It's time for my little short story workshop class thingie that we do. Come and blow my socks off with YOUR latest stuff! Remember to think RETAIL - we are writing stories now for Halloween and Christmas Contests. We meet at ze Barnes and Noble of Mandarin.
Also try to be at these monthly events - I will be probably more than likely be there for:
Thursday, August 8th - Open Mic Poetry Night at Barnes and Noble of Mandarin at 07:30 - I am still collecting your poems for the Open Mic Jacksonville Book, so bring your entries on in.
Sunday, August 11th and 25th - from 01:00 - 03:00 - Creative writing class with Ruth Barnaby. We want to hear your stories. We love them, love them!!

Friday night, August 16th at 57th Heaven - 07:30 PM -
Come be with moi and my posse as we go see our buddy Rick Marino, the famous Elvis impersonator, on this Tribute to Elvis night. Rick is back with his band, better than ever and looking forward to a big crowd! Grab your bras and thongs girls (wash them first please) and let's go cover Rick in underwear! HA! We may go tossing any leftovers afterwards around Jacksonville! Don't tell JSO please!

Florida Writers Association meeting at the Deerwood Library SE off of Gate Parkway - We are just two months away from our 1st big CONVENTION in Orlando and the Florida Palm Awards - Ok - time for a moment of prayer!
Please God, let Caryn win an award!! PLEASE!! Ok, now say three Our Fathers and three Hail Mary's - GOD LOVE YOU!! You are in the will dahlinks!!

DEE-DEET-DEE-DEET-DEET - NEWS FLASH - This just in - I just got a letter today from the Chicken-Soup-for-ze-Soul people about being considered for their "Chicken Soup for the Mid-Life Soul" book. They sent me the contract to sign! Ok, show me the money!!! Mid-life soul...OH MY GAWD DOES THIS MEAN I'M GETTING OLD?? NEVAH, NEVAH, NEVAH!! This must be a mistake, but what the hell print my story anyway! HA! It is hopefully going to be out in 2003!! $300 for 1200 words - that was nothing! I think this time I will donate the money to my other favorite charity though - ME!

ATTENTION TO ALL FELLOW ALUMNI COUNTRY CLUBBERS - (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) - Please E-me with your ok to put pics of you in the new version of the re-release of "Fly" next year. I promise it will be biggah, bettah, juicer and bettah edited - plus I want more pics of my favorite folk included. If you are cool about having your senior pic, yearbook pics, or Bunny Hut pics in the re-release please let me know!
I also am working with a screen writer to get "Fly" into screenwriting form for ----ZE MOVIE ---- yes, how would you all like be immortalized on film?!
Let's see who do I want to play me? Either Madonna or Cher at this point - HA!!
