How is everyone?

Hope you are all doing great. We are just here in sunny Florida just wondering if we are gonna get "Isabelled" or not this week - time will tell.
Talking about hurricanes and fast paced storms, this month has been one. It is half gone and busy as ever.
My eyes are spinning about 160 miles an hour as well! HA!

Just wanted to drop you all a quick hello and update.

First - I must send major, major, major kudos and hugs to my good buddy in Jacksonville, Kay Day - please visit Kay at her website where she covers all of moi's events as well at www.kayday.com - the best place to go for any news events happening in the Jax area. Congrats to Kay who also is releasing her next book this week - "A Poetry Break" being released by Ocean Publishing. Moi was oh so lucky to be included on her back cover as a reviewer of her book! Run out everyone and get it now! What a collection! Kay and Billie Collins are bosom buds - so you know how good this stuff is! My stuff? Well, "Fly" is on the back burner again until the first of 2004 for the rerelease - strictly my fault. Have not had time to get the rewrites done and I want it done right this time and properly edited. "Haste makes waste" right...although "time is of the essence" as well, I haven't had much of that.

On September 5th the rerelease of "Open Mic Jacksonville Vol 1 - Poetry" hit the shelves. Yes, moi is the Coordinator/Director of this project. The new and improved 2nd Edition by Ocean Publishing is just spectacular! The cost is $20 with some of the proceeds going to the Literacy Council of Florida. Moi is in this anthology, along with my kidlette, Lauryn Day, so support the arts, support the Literacy Council - copies can be ordered through me or at www.ocean-publishing.com. And in December look for "Open Mic Jacksonville Vol. II - Prose/Short Stories. Again moi is the Coordinator/Director of this fantastic project.
You will want to collect the whole series!

"Living Crazy Like Fly" ze movie - still haggling, still waiting. Lifetime has asked for the "synopsis, treatment and pitch", so I guess that is good news. The screenplay has also been entered in the Francis Ford Coppula Film Festival, the Moondance Festival, The Women's International Film Festival - so c'mon someone - SHOW ME THE MONEY!! Lin and I are anxiously waiting. I need more closet space!

The Florida Writers Association is gearing up for its big convention here next month. We have so many events going on and now we are eagerly anticipating plans for the end of the year Christmas party, which moi is organizing and planning to have on the Jacksonville Princess Cruise Line through the Hilton. Cannot wait. Details are being worked on this week.

For those of you who think I have abandoned you and not returned your phone calls - I am here. Work wise I have switched to the 11 PM - 8:00 AM shift and am sleeping during the day until about 5 PM. Still doing events almost every evening and then back to work by 11 PM.
