Hello dahlinks!

Caryn here. SO much has happened in October have not had time to write, but wanted to slip a quick note in before the month got away!

October had started off busy and wonderful! Tom and I got to get away for a few days on a Royal Carribbean Cruise to Cozimel Mexico/Key West - 5 days of heaven! It was too short! Shouts go out to newly acquired friends David and Carolyn Moses from Stuart, FL. and their lovely daughters, Krista and Shannon. We have them reading both books now and I'm anxiously waiting to see if they are enjoying them.

Some great news - This past weekend was the 2003 Royal Palm Awards - You are hearing from a 3 time award winner here kids! Yes, moi brought 3 awards home again this year. Gold, gold, gold for the screenplay of "Living Crazy Like Fly" and "Open Mic Jacksonville - Vol. I - Poetry" AND a beautiful heavy glass/crystal statue for Regional Director of the Year for the Florida Writer's Association! YEAH!!! We just got home yesterday evening after a fun filled event - the bad news...I ended up in the Orange Park Medical Center ER this morning with chest pains (It's the big one!). I was held until this morning and then released. Have to go to docs tomorrow. They could not tell if I had "the big one or not", but the chest xray shows some "heart inflammation and swelling" - (you guys always knew I had a big heart right? HA!) This goes along with the leg swelling, shortness of weight, weight gain....hmmmm....sounds like CHF to me don't it you? (Congestive heart failure). Will know more tomorrow. How do I feel now you ask? Well, I tell you what until about noon today, I had two new friends - Demerol and Toradol, but once they left I felt like I have been hit by a mack truck....but enough of about health junk......

More good news moving on....moving on......
Look still for the "rerelease" of "Fly" in 2004 now. My fault. Have been to busy with other writing and promoting "stuff". This book has won three national awards, now the screenplay has an award, even before being sold, wait a minute....I think Steven Spielberg is calling.....no Ben Afleck.....no HBO.....it's coming kids. I just hope I live to see it! HA!

I hope you are enjoying a "cooler" Fall season to all my yankee mates. We are loving it here in the cooler south.

Our prayers and thoughts are with Tom's parents in Claremont, CA right now with the fires going on all around them. Several of their neighbors have been burned out of their homes. They had to evacuate, but were allowed to return as of today!

Just wanted to say hi. I LOVE YOU GUYS! I don't say that enough. We all get so wrapped up in our lives we often forget to say that more often. I think of these things a lot, especially when I got cords running all over me and I'm thinking about who I haven't got to say hi to lately! Don't take it for granted!

Give me a shout when you can. Stay well to you and yours! Christmas is coming! 9 weeks away! 2004 I am ready to welcome! Let me hear from you!
