Yes, I survived Charley. Went to bed fully dressed, purse by my bed, make up on and three dogs in the bed with me and one snoring husband - and nothing much happened in Jacksonville. I fell asleep watching the opening events of the Olympics - how fantastic that was and relaxing! I awoke Saturday morning unscathed with three dogs still on me and listening to the sound of lawn mowers outside not chain saws - THANK YOU JESUS!
My hero again!

What else is new? So much, so much, and I don't want to bore you with everything. I will give you some good news and bad news and take it from there.
THE GOOD NEWS:
I have started a NEW organization that I will be launching in January 2005. I have turned in my resignation as President for the Florida Writer's Association and have started my own promotional company (this is in addition to working full time at the hospital and writing folks). It is called - POW!
Promoting Outstanding Writers!
Actually this group will be doing pretty much what I do all over the state now, only now I can maybe actually get PAID for doing it. That would be a novelty. I have my cute business cards, applying for my business promotors license and have started working on my new website - so come visit me at www.promotingoutstandingwriters.com and say hello! I've got much pages to build and am under construction, but come check me out.

Ok ze bad news: Remember a few months ago when last we spoke I told you I was going through my usual medical crapola for the Crohn's, the kidneys, blah, blah, blah, well they had found a mass on my mammogram in ze right breast. Well after mucho mammograms, sonograms, ultrasounds, etc now I have to see a surgeon next week to have surgery scheduled. They are not sure if it is cancerous yet, but it is very big 8 - 10 cm and needs to be removed benign or not, so I will probably be having surgery on it in the next week or two. I will either wake up with nothing on that side or a big flat tire I am sure. So please just ask God to "give me a little break" if you think of it in your prayers. I know I've asked him for too much as it is the past 47 years, but I would appreciate any mention I could get from you in my behalf as well. You know in the long run I'm more vain and nervous about being without hair and eyebrows if it is positive than boobless. I wanted to get them fixed anyway, but not the other extreme of completely cutting them off. Oh well, be careful what you wish for right?!

I hope you and yours are doing wonderfully well. Please know I love and miss you all. SO many of you pop into my head each day, I hope my ESP messages find you one way or the other if my fingers on the computer or cell phone does not.

Have a great rest of the summer gang - this year is almost over! Can't believe it! Halloween and Christmas and then the Super Bowl in Jax in 2005!
