Hello Dahlinks,

Well, here we are the end of this terrible, awful, depressing month so far and hopefully October will be much better for everyone!!

I just wanted to say "hello dahlinks" and to give everyone my new personal home E-mail address - so ready - here it is!! carynsuarez@yahoo.com - pretty easy to remember huh!!

Hopefully, this address will be "husband free" and I should not be missing any E-mails from now on, so PLEASE E me when you can!!

If I missed anyone in some personal E's I wanted to again let everyone know that one of our "Country Clubbers" Sonya "Poof" Doering is now back amongst us and she wants me to share her E-mail address with all of those who may remember her royal craziness!!
Sonya's last name is now Raffing and she lives near Chicago with her two beautiful children and husband. She is also a big deal at K-R-A-F-T, a national Krafty person!! Those of us who would like her E-address please write our little "poofster" at: draff55975@aol.com - if anybody from ze old gang wants her home phone or address, E or call me and I will be glad to give it to you!!

Let's see what's up bookwise - still waiting for "Passing Thoughts" to go to press - please PRAY that it will be premiered in December for moi! Also the Clara Awards (WHICH I WANTED TO WIN SO BAD!!!) have been cancelled due to the International chaos we have been in. They still have not announced the winners, but hope to do so by next week!! So please pray for moi also for that! I won't be able to accept my Clara now in person,wear the gown, go in ze limo, etc, but they will still present the awards and do something for ze winners at next year's events!
NO PARTY!! How dare they, but under the circumstances it is understandable. Please say a little prayer for "Fly" those as it was entered in and you can visit the Clara Award website at www.theclaras.com - they are supposed to be announcing the finalist and the winners on the site by October 5 or 6th!!

Ok, what else - oh I'm still teaching classes at B&N - our next one for the young and tender will be on Wednesday, October 17th, at 7:30 pm - so send your little Laurettes if you are in ze Jax area and let me corrupt them for you! I can't believe the youth in this town that don't know what a chinese-fire-drill is. Thank God they have someone like me who takes them out and shows them how to do it!!

I will also be at ze Mandarin Branch Public Library for a booksigning and lecture on October 18th from 7:00 - 8:00 PM - come see me there also dahlinks if in ze area!!

Oh, the biggest thing I forgot of course!! - you are now corresponding with the STAFF WRITER for ze "Victim's Advocate" here in Jacksonville. I get my own monthly byline on articles! Cool huh! I am also hoping to get some more radio spots with Lee Martin on the Justice Coalition Radio Show - (I always think of you Keith when I do these!)
We need to spice up the crime news around this town, who else but moi to talk about it huh! HA! Thanks to everyone at the Justice Coalition (Glenn, Charley and Bob) for giving me this chance to get on my soap box, promote my books and hopefully help a great foundation here in Jacksonville. We are all out to stamp out crime here, promote the Neighborhood and Community Watch programs and promote awareness!

One more special note on "Passing Thoughts" - we have many special dedications to friends and fam in the new book, but the book does have a special memorial dedication to our adopted son, Chad Faulkner who was murdered in April 2001. Some proceeds from this new book will be going to the Justin Chad Faulkner Foundation at the Dupont YMCA - just a FYI to help promote early sales and get some money for ze "Y" where Chad was an instructor for several years!!
