Dear Fellow Creator-

Man does still have a consience. It has been often portrayed in fact and fiction as something that is, rightfully, small.

"The still SMALL voice!" "Jiminy Cricket", the tiny figure of consience in the story of Pinocchio, the wooden boy that would arise as human and 'real' (our stated journey, so often) and learn from his tiny companion.

This small voice which is said to 'guide us',...but to what? To the higher in us. A Representative Of The Creator...waiting...waiting...for what?

For the space in myself, which ony I can prepare, where it can exist freely. This can be said to be the final end of our creativity, the goal of our mission. There are many roads we choose, many exersizes and talents used, art, experience, denial, observation and more.... but the goal is to arrive at conscience.

How can I keep an inner silence, a quietness, that will help me become aware of that still small voice and cease to be deafened by the clamor and hysteria of my usual state? How can I earn the right to have my own director, my own consience, as a guide?

I will have to give up, to sacrifice something. In order to make a new place in me where my conscience doesn't have to compete with all the chaos and confusion of my everyday life.

Let me start today with sacrificing all my self-justification. When I excuse myself, justify myself. They are legion. Consience never excuses me, never justifies me. It does not argue, nor can I argue about what it shows me. It sees things---me---the way I really am.

This can be painful, especially if I identify with its revelations, but it needn't be so. If I can open more today to the wisdom and insight from conscience and lessen the desire to run away from the conflict of my many selves...then I will awaken to the birghter light of the above, The Secret Creator Within.

Perhaps today you can clear a little ground in the log task of preparing for a blessed moment when your own consience can take its rightful place as director of your life. Beware of self-merit. Of self justification and try not to identify with it when it arises. It is not you.

In this kind of sacrifice, you leave the lower for the higher, the greater. You become filled with more space in which the growth of your true identity might arise through consience.

There is an old legend that in our last moments of earhtly existence, and after death, when the true meaning of heaven and hell is at last realized, the full birth of consience of our life occurs. If true, this will be an overwhelming experience.

We will instantly 'see all' and 'not through a glass darkly', but in the blinding light of consience a review of our choices will flood our being. If, in this earhtly existence we have shunted consience into a tiny corner, never letting it out to spread its awesome and frightful truth of our many conficting selves, then this shock will be even greater.

If we have made no sacrifice to it, no attempts to allow it permission into our consiousness, then faced with its unlimited scope and complete release at our death, we will be less able to apprehend its majesty and grow in our spiritual stature. Like children we will be in a world so unfamiliar,so unexpected, we will become lost, tumbling about the cosmic sea of personal responsibility until we might very well find Dante's vision a mere comfort.

Yet, it is not the Creators desire to foster fear and laden us with hopelessness. It is we, ourselves, through our own laziness and ignorance, that consience once unleashed will feel too uncomfortable to us. Eventually, its combined light with the Higher, will allow us the truth. The truth about ourselves. The final door of our creative natures, and our knighted souls will at last finally attend to that which is vital, real and of value.
