Tammy Baldwin, Congressional Rep. from Wisconsin's Second District, won here re-election handily. Her opponent, Ron Greer, is a mean spirited fundamentalist who consistently took pleasure "reminding" voters that Tammy is the first and only lesbian in the House of Representatives. Fortunately, few of the voters in the entire 2nd District paid much attention, and Tammy won by a margin of 2 to 1.

Editing on the book "The Gilded Age Construction of Modern American Homophobia" is coming along just fine, and the publication date, scheduled for world wide release, sould be in late Spring of 2003. Meanwhile, "Guilty as Charged: The True Story of a Gay Beret" was a success at the Santa Barbara, CA Digital Literature Institute's award ceremonies, held November 4, 2002. Reviewers and judges alike enjoyed this story of the Federal's government's vile behavior during my court-martial for "sosomy," and the constitutional challenge the ACLU conducted on my behalf.

As a sign that Wisconsin is a fine place to be gay or lesbian, my Catholic liberal arts college is making waves by openly celebrating its gay and lesbian student population and their student organization, Friends Like Us, originally founded by one of my openly male gay adult students. Furthermore, Edgewood hosted numerous glb events this October, all of which were very well attended. Until next time......, caio
