I returned last night from a trip to Mountain City, Tn. This beautiful area in the far eastern corner of the state has become a second home to me.

In April, the county library hosted a book signing and literary tea for local authors, sponsored by the Friends of the Library. THe author's pictures and biographies were featured in a window display on main street in Ramsey's store.

I was happy to be included in the signing event and a radio interview conducted by Fran Atkinson of WMCT radio. Over two hundred people attended the tea to support the seven authors and purchase autographed copies of their books.

This past Saturday, May 1st, the library director, Linda Icenhour and Deborah McQueen,were honored for the hard work that the two do for the citizens of Johnson County. The ladies' pictures will be hung in the middle school.

I had a marvelous time at both events and met many interesting people. After the ceremony this past Saturday, I joined Barbara Dunn and others for lunch and pleasant conversation before I returned to the home of my good friend, Linda Herron, where I was staying for the weekend.
