2005 is a week away; what will this new year bring?

Do any of you make resolutions for the new year?
I have - I want to remember what is really important in my life and not fret over the small stuff that is not.

My grandmother used to say "if it isn't important enough to matter in a year, don't worry over it."

I also resolve to get busy and promote my work. During the last few months, with the holidays and moving to a new house, something had to give and my book promotion has suffered.
I love to write but if I don't get out there and get a the public's attention, who will read and enjoy what I write?

In February, I have two local libraries, Connersville and Rushville, where my books will be showcased.

In March, I am excited to be included in a multi-book signing at a mall in Toledo, Ohio and to be traveling to a group-signing in Knoxville, Tn.

Group signings are great fun. There is not only the opportunity to meet the public and sell books but the chance to swap ideas and tricks of the trade with fellow authors.

Meanwhile, I am writing.

The sequel to Hidden Legacy . . . Reunion with Strangers . . . has thirty-two chapters and is developing nicely.

The third book of the Crystal Lake Friends series, Cathy's story, has taken on a life of its own and is dictating to me as I type.

The proof pages for The Friendship Circle - the second book of the Crystal Lake friends - should be arriving any day and The Friendship Circle should be released in the early spring of 2005.
