Jeff Martin, his friend, Hawk, and his dachshund dog are captured by Osage Indians. Eventually they escape and find their way home. Due to his unusual shape Adolphus is called a Spirit Dog.

My backround is in English Literature. Except I think it was Grimms' Fairy Tales, the book my father gave me when I was a child, that made a big impression on me. It was a big book of beautiful glossy illustrations, and it was my very own book.
