====ANOTHER FASCINATING EDITION OF THE ALBERT ISAAC NEWSLETTER! ======

For those of you who have not heard the news, the winds of change, with gale force velocity, have blown me right out of the water at UF and I again find myself living the life of a writer - whether I like it or not!

I like it.

I like having plenty of time to write - although I’m not crazy about the lack of steady income!

But, there is a reason for all of this good fortune, I know there is.

Here are some reactions from people upon learning of my departure from the university: My wife: "Everything happens for a reason." My Mom: "This too shall pass." My buddy: "Writing is calling you back." My 13 year old: "That sucks!" My 4 year old: "Goodie!!!"

And the funny thing is – all are accurate. But I think my favorite is "Goodie!"

I'm busier now than I was when I worked at UF, or so it seems. I recently wrapped up several additional projects for Tower Publications, which came as a welcome opportunity for yours truly. In the upcoming edition you can read about my experiences misreading labels on containers as well as the more serious subject of Carbon Monoxide dangers.

Now it's time to grab the National Market!

State, you say? I should perhaps capture the State of Florida audience first? BAH! Must think big! What good is positive thinking if you can't think of the most positive things that come to mind? I'm going global! (note the use of self-fulfilling prophecy!).

Ah, yes, I see famous author Albert Isaac, sitting by the pool with laptop, drinking margaritas and enjoying life. Oh yeah! I like that imagery.

What's that coming up the drive? The Repo-Man? Yikes! Where the Sam Hill did that imagery come from? Get out of my fantasy! Out! Out with the negative thoughts! Out with ye!!!

Getting back to the gale force winds ablowin' and the good things that have been happening, as some of you may have heard, we recently became the proud GRANDparents of little Linnea Ivette, born October 15, 2005. Mother and daughter are doing fabulous! Soon the little rascal will be crawling all over the house, no doubt providing me with tons of stories for the parenting magazines! Right now there's not much to write about with regards to Linnea (which is a good thing), as she mostly lies around gurgling and cooing and doing what tiny babies do - eat, sleep, and - well, you know. But she's a cutie!

Back to the writing stuff: this Wednesday, November 9th, I will be leading a discussion about my book to the fine members of the Pink Porch Book Club. I've not done anything like this before. Heck, I have yet to even read the book myself! (I shouldn’t admit that. Guess I better put that on my list of things to do now that I’ve got all this free time and all…)

I'm looking forward to this event with great excitement!

Yes, this discussion of "Endless" will take place at the Conestoga Restaurant in beautiful downtown Alachua and I will be there attempting to answer questions. I mean, I will be there answering questions. There is no attempt! As Yoda says, "Do or do not. There is no try."
