1. EDITORIAL:
Welcome back everyone and hello and welcome to all the new subscribers! We now have 108 subscribers and it just keeps growing! My hope is that you find these sites as valuable as I do. Thanks to all of you who read and commented on my new poem 'Time's Tide'. Wow, it was overwhelming! For those of you who haven't had a chance yet, it's still there! Some of the sites I've chosen to share this week aren't paying, but have virtue and benefits as well. You want to send your submissions in to as many places as possible to make your writing viable but you also want to get your name out there too. I strongly believe in sharing and submitting to non paying sites because it allows readers to get to know who you are and where to find other writes you've written. This will benefit you down the road when you might consider selling an ebook of your poetry or articles or short stories. If they like your writing they will be more apt to buy something from you rather than from someone they've never heard of before. So get your writes out there and just make sure wherever you submit them that the copyright remains with you, the author. Happy writing and reading to you all!

2. TRIVIA/FACTS:
July 12, 1976 - 1976 - Fourteen-year old Romanian gymnast, Nadia Comaneci, stunned Olympic Games spectators when she executed perfect form to score a perfect "10" with the judges. This was the first perfect score to ever be recorded on the uneven parallel bars. Nadia would go on to collect seven more perfect scores, three gold medals, a silver and a bronze medal. She would return in the 1980 Olympic to win two gold and two silver medals.

We're looking for literary short stories, flash fiction, poetry and visual art. We would also like to start publishing essays (no particular subject matter in mind, as long as it is well-written and interesting) and excerpts from novels. We encourage new writers to submit. It doesn't matter if you have little or no publishing credits. We encourage ethnic themes. Simultaneous submissions are OK. Previously published works are also OK (different publications have different audiences, so why not get as broad an audience as possible, right?). But please inform us of the publication in which your work previously appeared so we can give proper credit. We reserve one-time electronic and print rights (all rights revert back to author after publication). We prefer email submissions, yet if you want to do it the old-fashioned way, we definitely won't turn those envelopes away.
