Sorry I haven't exactly been too communicative with everyone lately. For those who don't know, I've had Lyme Disease since I was a child. It was bad when I was 19 and required 2 1/2 years of treatment before I was "normal". I havne't had much trouble with it since, save some achey joints now and then. My face-which had been about 3/4 paralyzed-was pretty much that way for a long long time. At the beginning of February, the nerves began regrowing. Needless to say, that was pretty painful.

Since then, I've had Bell's Palsy. Basically, the left side of my face is now paralyzed. I cannot blink my left eye properly and the muscles on that side don't work. I look like I've had a stroke. Slowly but surely, I'm getting better. For years, I've also been 10-15% deaf in both ears and required glasses to see even the largest of print. When the nerve began regrowing, I also got my hearing back and have been able to read and use the computer without my glasses! I heard a cat breathe for the first time 2 weeks ago. I've had quite a few cats in my life and never once did I hear them breathe. I heard rain on the window just three days ago.

I haven't done much of anything since the beginning of February. Unfortunately, with the Bell's came a nasty case of vertigo that kept me in bed pretty much since the day it came on. I didn't go to the grocery store for nearly 6 weeks. I know I have things waiting on the back burner and I promise I'll get to them as soon as I'm able.

I couldn't have made it without your love and support. Thank you again for everything. You have no idea how much I needed to know you were just there. :-)
