Dear New Jersey,
My apologies for having referred to Gen. Wm. Tecumseh Sheridan as Gen. Sherman. It was, at 83, a moment of raris mentis, as I grew up with Gen. Sherman during WWII. Gen. Sheridan, despite the number he did on us in the Civil War, has always been a favorite of mine — tactually, at least.

I, for years. have written a twice-weekly column (Weds and Sats, identical each day, under My Newsletter and My Blog — which, if I knew your email address, you would be able to read and comment on for yourself).
