On this glorious sunshiny morning I greet you with the news that I sent my second book, Bjoyfl, to the publisher for book production; it is done.
I felt a mixture of excitement and sadness, as many of you can probably relate to. Sculpting and molding and stroking our creations whether they be our offspring, our business ventures, our students, our mop and scrub brush becomes such a part of us it is often difficult to "let go." But let go we must.
Next time I see Bjoyfl will be in the page proofing stage, then the cover art, and the book. No more fiddling. I could have fiddled with it forever.Nothing like a forty year old still in mother's loving care...he he! Ok, you all get it...it's done!
You all...I am getting ready to head south for my first book signing at Clemson University! Is it the Tigers??? I have no clue about sports, but I sure am looking forward to my first signing. The book store at Clemson ordered the books and we just have to show up with our white teeth (thank God for baking soda in the tootpaste) and pens. How cool is that???
I am traveling down with my Mom and Dad and nephew in a Saturn. Hubby is holding down the fort here for our ten year old who still has school (can you believe it???). We will be staying with my brother and sister-in-law and visiting with many relatives while we are down there. My sister is even flying in the evening of the signing and driving back with us. Five in the Saturn on the way home. Hubby suggested I bring foot powder ( he held his nose when he made the suggestion). I held back the urge to flip him off....Just kidding (not really).
So...It's done and off I go!
