I was hired on 27 August 2007 to work at a Public School as an English as a Second Language teacher. This was my final ambition of three ambitons (soldier, police officer, teacher)that I desired to accomplish during my life time. I teach foreign students who immigrate to this country how to speak, read abd write English.

I speak German and Spanish, but since I commute to work about 3 hours a day (roundtrip), I will learn French by using instructional CDs while I am driving each day. I will also use an audio recordimg device in my car to continue my work on the third book of The Winds of Destiny Trilogy. The Winds of Destiny - The Survivors of the Secret.

I thank all of my relatives, friends and fans who have suported me diligently during the change of my work career. I predict that being an educator will be my last occupation in the work force and will last from 8 to 13 years. I will then retire amd write fulltime.

I believed that I could go back to college to get a teacher's license. I got a license after six months of classes and in school training while working full time and writing and promoting my books. Each state has a career switcher program to become a teacher and you can research this by using Google.

I also write poetry, and readers often see samples of it in my novels. My French speaking students from Haiti and France were discussing poetry during class and I asked them to convert their poems from French into English and place them on the blackboard. Though these students have been in this country for only a few years, their conversion of their poems into Ebglish was excellent in regards to grammar and sentence structure. Now, I can use their interest im poetry to advance their fluency in English, though they are now using the language academically.

I am also instructing students from Vietnam, Puerto Rico, the Dominion Republic, Honduras, Phillipines, and Mexico. I will allow them to cmplete cultural projects to keep the 1.5 hour class room periods interesting and conducive to learning. In short, I will learn about many countries from my foreign students. Since I am not fluent in any languages of the Orient, I will learn one of the predominant Oriental languages also.

I am looking forward to the Book Em Event this year at Staunton, Virginia, whoich is my third year of participation. The event is held by the Police Dept to raise money to purchase books and give them to school students, who take the books home so their parents can read to them.
