Okay, okay, here we are. The final cattle call.

My movie premiere is tonight.

"Is that tonight? I thought he said Thursday."

This is Thursday.

"Awe shit!"

Yeah, that's right all ye who pay no attention. The hour is upon us. Doors open at 6:00pm. I'll say a few words before the show and you will applaud wildly. Then we'll watch the film together and you, realizing that my parents and I are there, will stiffle your scoffs and jeers--no no! You're gonna love it! Really!

And then you'll buy a book for super cheap, which will get you into the afterparty at CbGb Lounge. Or not. You could just skip the book signing and go straight to the lounge, pay the ten bucks, and watch the latest addition to the afterparty--a kick-ass band called "Dayglow."

That's right, folks. because I love (and because you may have nowhere to go between 8:30 and 9:30), the afterparty unofficially starts right after the movie. It doesn't officially begin until I get there, of course, and I fully except another round of wild applause when I enter the room. I don't care if Dayglow is in the middle of their new tear-jerking ballad or whatever. Fuck them. I'm insecure.
