So, it finally turned to summer here in the southern California mountains but to keep us all humble, at the end of June a cold wind began to blow and the night temperatures plummeted down into the low 30s!

However, I headed out and found that I was a bit overdressed. This weekend is going to be a busy one near my home because I live in a resort area that everyone comes to for vacations or escape.

I made my last escape to the coffee house and into the main part of town before the visitors start arriving in droves but truthfully, I began seeing people arrive on Thursday.

For a large number of people in the United States, the 4th of July is a happy celebration but for a large number of pets - - it is a nightmare.

I will be making a choice in July as I have an intern coming aboard soon so keep an eye out for some changes.

One of them is that I will be charging for the newsletters to offset the costs it takes to manage the list.

Don't fret since you'll be able to join a free list or to chose to get the new topics via email. If you do move over (watch for that email soon) you'll have the opportunity to select what format you want, get more frequent updates and invites to events, etc.
