Have you missed me? The truth is that September into October was pretty intense and I left town for three weeks to recharge my batteries and to also move through some of the trials faced personally just previous to my trip.

I am just sending you a personal update for now as I didn't want any more time to pass before doing so. At the moment I am catching up after being gone for so long as I only returned home on the 2nd of October.

The mold restoration was unpleasant and at the moment more work has to be done or I may have to move. I'd love a little cottage or guest home in the same little town but pickings are slim so I am hoping for the best and cooperation in getting the last bits done. The news, after all these years of testing, is that the blood work indicates that all the ups and downs may just be from allergies to the mold creating complications and challenging my immune system.

The second challenge was that a mountain lion moved into town and was preying on different pets. One of those victims was sadly, Tickle the cat. You might remember the little stray who adopted me and moved away when the crews were at my house during the restoration.

He came to me for help and to say good-bye. All he wanted was to be on my lap and we spent his last hours in a love fest with me cleaning him up best I could, attempting to give him some comfort with him happily kneading and purring on my lap. Living in a wilderness area poses many risks to animals of all types. So far our community has lost numerous pets, Tickle and a lab both escaped but as urban centers encroach on the territories of wild creatures, they adapt and casualties happen.

Sadly, both dogs and cats have been disappearing with regularity and they disappear from yards, or when a dog door allows outdoor access. Anyway, apologies on the delay on getting this month's newsletter over to you but I am sure you understand. I'll be making some new changes to the newsletter for 2014 that I think you will like but more on that later.

This week I'll be helping someone in Bahrain with their cheetah and launching the new 30 Day Business Challenge.
