The "Whenever Newsletter" containing the wit and wisdom of LDS author Susan Law Corpany is put out several times a year, but not on any set schedule. You will find the stories behind the stories, excerpts from works in progress, humorous insights, ideas for how to avoid doing housework. In other words--whatever and whenever. (Just a touch of rebellion.) Subscription is free and free from the contraint of a publishing schedule, because after all, writers are under enough deadlines. Enjoy!

Newsletter Dated: 3/16/2011 10:43:42 AMSubject: New Meridian Article and New Book This is just a quick note to let you know my new Meridian article is up. Our bay in Hawaii was hit by the tsunami, destroying a number of homes and washing one out to sea. It reminded me of the sometimes unhelpful things we say to people at a time of crisis. I am asking my readers to weigh in with their suggestions of things not to say, based on their own experiences with loss and tragedy. I am teaching a class at BYU-Hawaii Education Week and would really appreciate the opportunity to add your voices to my own on this important subject. Names and identifying details will not be used.

My book Lucky Change came out in November. It was nominated for a Whitney Award in the category of general fiction, and is now one of the five finalists in that category. The voting is in May after the LDS Booksellers conference. I am excited to be a member of Storymakers now and look forward to their conference and the awards ceremony, whether or not I win.
