Thanks to everyone who inquired about our wellbeing after the recent earthquakes shook our island. There were actually two, a 6.7 and a 6.0. I was in Arizona at the time, so it was rather nerve-racking for me hearing about it on the news. My husband stood on our lanai and watched the face of the nearby cliffs fall into the ocean at Kealakekua Bay. Our church sustained some major damage, and only the chapel came through unscathed. On the homefront, FEMA says knick-knack damage is pretty far down the list, so we won't be putting in a claim. Thom wrote an article for Meridian Magazine about the damage to the home of our missionaries, which is next to our church building. For some reason, I have been unable to pull it up, but it is called "Earthquake in Paradise". When there is a disaster of any kind, Thom likes to be right in the middle of it and I want to be as far away as possible, so we both got what we wanted with this one.

The booksignings and fireside in Arizona went well. I met lots of new people and hope to be able to visit there again soon.
