It's been a busy week for me, but very little time to devote to writing. I really hate those kind of weeks. I have found that it is really important to take a few minutes each day to devote to writing something, either a poem, or working on a new novel and if I can't find time for that, then just writing down a few thougts. This week, I have not kept up with myself in this and I have really noticed it.

This week, I was deeply saddened by the loss of a very good online lupus friend. Carol Tigert died of Lupus complications this past week and it's been hard saying good bye to her. When I lose a closse friend due to Lupus, it brings home the reality of how wrong things can go for some suffering from Lupus. It brings home my own mortality and does cause me to do some deep thinking!

My name is Sharon Sanders and I am thrilled to be able
to work alongside Sherry on this newsletter. I am 39
and have sufferred with lupus for many years and know
what a struggle it can be to cope with a chronic
illness and still follow the dreams of writing I have
that lie within. Important advice I have learned from
Sherry is to never give up on your dreams. Anything is
possible if you only try!
Here is a poem I wrote many years ago.

CATCH AND RELEASE

As the first pale shades of dawn force back the night,
the silence is broken by the hum of an outboard motor
cutting a path in search of the perfect spot. The
water, as smooth as glass, is disturbed only by the
life it held below. An occasional swirl to tempt the
angler to cast within its rings. Cranking, jigging and
flipping, all in the ultimate hope of the depths to
yeild that "trophy" to hang on the wall. The water
explodes as the largemouth clamps iron-like jaws onto
the anglers prize lure. The line tightens and the
struggle between the two begin. There will be only one
winner in this watery tug of war. As the waves settle,
the lake gives up one of its own. The angler looks
upon his hard earned prize and with profound respect,
returns his treasure to the world of nature....Mother
of all.
