An Interview with Terésa (Tracey) Louise Stanisha
DT: Terésa, tell us about your suspense filled novel, Orchid's Beach.

TLS: Hello Tina. Thank you for the opportunity to tell you and the public about my book, Orchid’s Beach. It’s the story about a strong love between a man and a woman. There is one very strong minded woman named Sandra and she is pretty, talented and successful. Her fiancé, Collin on the other hand is insensitive and uncaring and he leaves her. Surprisingly she is stalked and always there are purple orchid’s left behind for her to remember Collin. Sandra needs to contact the authorities for help. Her boss, Ron, has always thought that she was fantastic and he won’t stop at anything to make sure that she’s safe. There are touching love scenes, special moments and intriguing suspense. The wonderful areas that the story takes place in include: Lake Murray, South Carolina, Mt. Rushmore and the Panhandle beaches of Florida. There’s a good guy and a bad guy (a real bad guy), the love story is strong and so is the main character, Sandra who when pushed into a corner that she can’t get out of surprises everyone.

TRS: What gave you the idea for this story which is filled with intrigue and surprising twists?

TLS: The idea for Orchid’s Beach occurred while I was on one of my many trips, as I have been to and enjoyed visiting every state in the United States except Hawaii and Alaska. On this one particular trip I visited South Carolina and fell in love with the Lake Murray area. It was so beautiful there and as I drove around the lake my imagination took over. I created a love story that would be based partly in the Lake Murray. Other places that inspired this book was a another trip that I took to see Mt. Rushmore. Also a trip to the beautiful beaches along the Florida Panhandle.

TRS: What was your favorite memory of writing this book?

TLS: My favorite memory of writing this book, Orchid’s Beach was just the opportunity to be able to do so. I appreciate my freedoms and that is one of them…the ability to write. Also when I was writing this book I remembered my trips and how wonderful it was to visit such beautiful places, especially Mt. Rushmore. It's a fantastic and awesome sight.

TRS: What do you enjoy in your spare time?

TLS: One of things I enjoy doing in my spare time is going to shows, especially the ones that my cousin, Mr. Frank Gorshin stars in. Just recently I went to see his fantastic one man show. “Say Goodnight Gracie”. He plays George Burns and it's fantastic. If you get a chance to go it's just wonderful. I also enjoy dancing-Ballroom as well as modern. I love traveling and going to the beach. my artwork and music and movies (The love of th! e movies started long ago as a child. I worked in a movie house when I was younger, as well as many other types of jobs. Now I am in the video movie field. So movies...I just love them and they have always been around me in one way or another. When I was an extra in the movies I learned to love them even more. Everything about them.

TRS: What advice would you give aspiring writers?

TLS: Advice to any aspiring author is that every day is a new day! It’s an emotional career, so expect the good to come with bad and just enjoy the ride.

TRS: Would you like to hear from fans and readers?

TLS: Hearing from fans and readers would be nice.
