May the blessings of Christmas shine on you throughout the coming year.

The Gift

Twinkle twinkle magnificent star,
Shining so bright from oh so far.

Shining down on a manger below,
A beautiful story about to unfold.

A child was born that Christmas day,
The father knowing the price he would pay.

Born in a manger, no room at the inn,
The gift that he brings, comes from within.

Wise men seek him, just to see,
This child that was born, for you and me.

The greatest gift you will ever receive,
Is the gift of life from that baby conceived.

Not a shiny package under the tree,
Fading away no longer to be.

As Christmas approaches, getting so near,
Sing praises to the Lord, for the world to hear.

Except this gift, within your heart,
It will never fade, nor ever part.

Love and best wishes to all we meet,
Until we take rest at that baby's feet.

May God's love shine upon you.

What a lovely write, Daniel. Too many forget the real reason for Christmas....if we carried it in our hearts all year long, there would be no wars, or hate. Well penned, my friend.
