Through half closed eyes

I watched him through half closed eyes
Day after day, of him, I fantasied
I craved a touch, a smile or two
anything to sate my need, a better view

He never knew how much I cared
I never told, I didn't dare
He was totally innocent, so unaware
of my longing, aching despair

He worked nearby, yet never realized
how much I loved him and fantasied
He never heard my painful, silent cries
As I watched him through half closed eyes
