This poem is dedicated to a friend of mine that dealt with physical abuse. By the grace of God she was strong enough to leave but some are not. So I keep those women in my prayers.
As I wipe the tears from my best friend’s face
My skin starts itch as I fill with rage
Fed up with all the excuses of why you can’t leave
Telling me “He only does it because he loves me”
And why he tears down your self-esteem
Your dreams and everything you hope for
I think of treacherous ways to
Make him pay
To make him see
To make him feel a little of his own medicine
I need to teach him something he obviously knows nothing about
But then again how could he because he is not a man
But only an illusion of one
Cause a real man wouldn’t hit a woman
He would love a woman, and praise his woman
I have a chip on my shoulder
For this real-man wannabe
I am wanting to hurt him
Wanting to cast some type of spell
To make his skin melt
Like the effects of acid
Then he can feel what it felt like
When he told her “No one will ever want you”
I pray to God to take away my evil thoughts of revenge
But I keep thinking of ways to make him suffer
And feel the pain of feeling as if no one wants you
Or what it felt like to be on the outside looking into her tears, her broken heart
All his excuses of unfaithfulness
You know “She was my cousin”
I still want revenge I still want to make blood come to the surface of his skin
But God tells gives me a message I wouldn’t dare ignore
And that is revenge is mine sayeth the Lord

Well if you give him a good kick in the arse it would help make you feel a lot better. Glad she made the break. A lot of idiots still out there saying 'he only does it because he loves me.' Knee deep is the caca.
