This poem was written for my friend Vicky to give her words of comfort. I dedicated this to her when her grandmother passed.

My dear friend I truly understand your pain
The emptiness, the gut feeling when the reality sinks in
That someone you love will not be seen again
It is difficult to bear but not unbearable
Because God will continue to keep you through any obstacle
He will give you and your family the strength to go on
To accept that they are not here in the flesh but always looking upon
As your sister in Christ I offer my unconditional love
My hand for you to hold, my shoulders for you to cry on
My back to hold you up when life tries to pull you down
My feet for us to take a closer walk with thee
I offer everything I can give anytime you need me
So hold on to all the good times and the wonderful memories
Because they will be your personal souvenirs for eternity
My spirit to tell you one thing you must accept
That the only way she is truly gone is if you……….. FORGET
