To be nourished is to be fed.
Beyond that to be nourished is to have
digested food in sufficient amount that 
promotes good or optimum health.

I recall, during my boyhood, after members
of the family gathered around the table to
eat, my father would say, "God bless this food
that we are about to receive to nourish our
bodies." "To nourish our bodies." The body
needs nourishment, but more than the body
needs nourishment; the whole person, body
mind and soul need nourishment. Moreover,
adequate nourishing of the body depends on
the mind and soul being properly nourished.

To be Spirit nourished is to be Spirit fed.
The Spirit is a big idea, the biggest idea
conceivable, God-consciousness. Centered
in the soul - the seat of the soul - is the Spirit
that embodies a person's thoughts, emotions,
concupiscence, conscience and faith. The
ingredients or nutrients of the Spirit include
discernment, justice, compassion, wisdom
peace and the will to do good and live right.

The Spirit is the within or inner teacher and
guide. Although invisible and intangible, the
Spirit is the greatest power a person can
experience. It is a power that can possess the
person. John the Revelator was possesed
by the Spirit when he said, "I was in the Spirit
on the Lord's Day." That was not an ordinary
day in his life. It was a day when he interfaced
with Eternity. To be guided by the Sprit is to
be directed in the path of righteousness.

Spirit nourishing requires a "sensing of the
sacred,"  prayer, meditation, praising God,
communing with nature, singing and making
music that fills the ear of God with gladness,
vision and serving God and man.

I call any person Spirit nourished who lives
in the present, trust God without reservation
and love unconditionally. This person has no
need to yearn for soul food because he is at
liberty to ingest manna from Heaven as his
daily bread.
