Any name other than the name Jesus Christ is not the greatest name. In truth,
no other name is great. Alexander the Great,
Peter
the Great, or anyone else who affixed great to
his name
was not great and has returned to the dust from
whence he came.
"Who has the greatest name?" the Creator inquired of those wonderfully
made in His own image. Respondents to the question proudly heralded
names of ten personalities:
Moses said the Israelites Abraham said the children of many nations Buddha said the seekers of enlightenment Mohammad said the Moslems Krishna said the adherents of Hinduism Zoroaster said the adherents of Zoroastrianism Akhenaton said the exponents of government by love Confucius said the Chinese religious devotees Shakespeare said the admirers of Shakespearean works Abraham Lincoln espousing Americans celebrating justice for all.
The Creator, in a somewhat reprimanding voice,
exclaimed, "The names called, singularly or collectively,
are not the greatest names." Then He said:
"I have exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.,
to the glory of God the Father." (Phil 2:9-11)
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
