BIG DEAL FAVOR

"All good things come from the Cosmic 
Source." At  the end of  each  day's
accomplishment  during  Creation the
Cosmic Source said, "And it was good,"
except for the last  day  when he said,
"It was very good." Favor, then as now,
is a good thing. It could be called better
than good  or  great. Sometimes  favor
seems to be better than good, best or great.

What is favor? It is  something  done or
granted out of goodwill; an act of gracious
kindness, not having anything to do with
justice or fairness. Oftentimes  favor is
discovered or detected by  the recipient
serendipitously, i.e., he  finds something
valuable  or  delightful  that  he did not
expect or was not looking for.
 
BIG DEAL FAVOR may also be called
"heavy  favor," "supernatural  favor," or
"out-of-this-world favor." I like the ring
of calling  much of  the  favor  I  have
experienced during my  more  than four
score years of living BIG DEAL FAVOR.
Ah, Ah, Ah! My, my, my! Wow, wow,
wow!

Here, I will not  attempt to  provide a list -
not that I could do so sufficiently or fully
even if I wanted to - of times, circumstances
and situations when I have  received God's
BIG DEAL FAVOR, but suffice that I only
say, there  have  been  times  when  what
happened  in  my  life were  miracles  par
exccellence  that defied  reason, even  the
law  of  gravity, luck that defied the odds,
that caused me, like  John on the Island of
Patmos, to exclaim, "I see a number that
no man  can  number." Or, How  is  this
possible?" I meet people whose testimonies
or no less astounding than mine. They are
the irrefutable evidence.

We would be on  solid ground if we said,
"Expect nothing, be ready for everything,"
especially to  receive your  serendipitous
discovery. You might say "I didn't deserve
it or  there  are  others  who  are  more
deserving of it than I am." You may ask
time-and-time again, "Why have I been
favored?" Just know that you are favored
because  you  are special and exceptional,
not because  of  anything  you have done
but because of what God has done in you,
through you, with you, and  for you. It is
not  amiss  to say in spite  of  you. Ask
Abram how  special was  he  before his
name became Abraham?

But you have a sigificant role in accessing
God's favor. How many  people walk over
money  because  they  are  not  looking in
the direction  of the  money, or  fail to see
beautiful  rainbows  because they are not
looking at the sky? The key to discovering
and  receiving  the  favors  of  God  is  to
constantly  acknowledge  Him  as  your
Source and maintain an attitude of gratitude.

Receive your favors! Thank God for them!
Use them to bless yourself, others and God,
in  any   way,  whenever   and   wherever
appropriate. There is nothing  else  for you
to  do  except  sing "To God be the Glory"
and be open to receive your next favor. Wow!
